A monthly conversation about what dancing can reveal
Seeing the Dance Differently
Conversations about confidence, connection, and what we experience on the dance floor.
Dancing is about more than the steps.
Dancing can bring us joy, freedom, expression, and connection. It can also bring up insecurity, comparison, frustration, and the feeling that we aren't quite good enough.
One evening we may feel relaxed and completely at home on the dance floor. Another evening, we may find ourselves overthinking every step or wondering what other people think of us.
What if those experiences aren't telling us the truth about who we are or what we're capable of? What might we discover if we became curious about the dancer's experience—not just the dance?
This is an invitation to see the dance differently.
Seeing the Dance Differently is a monthly online conversation exploring the human experience of Latin dancing. Each gathering begins with a theme—such as confidence, connection, comparison, rejection, mistakes, or belonging—and follows wherever our curiosity and conversation naturally lead.
This isn't a dance class, a lecture, or a program for improving yourself. It's a welcoming space to pause, listen, share, and perhaps notice something new about what shapes your experience on the dance floor.
Where Does Confidence Really Come From?
This Month's Conversation
We often believe we need to feel confident before asking someone to dance, expressing ourselves, or fully enjoying the dance floor. But what if confidence isn't something we have to build?
This month, we'll explore why confidence can seem present one moment and absent the next—and what becomes possible when we stop trying so hard to manufacture it.
This conversation may be for you if…
You sometimes overthink while dancing. You compare your progress with other dancers. You feel nervous asking someone to dance. Mistakes affect your confidence or enjoyment. You want to experience more freedom and connection. You're curious about the human experience behind the dance.
What you can expect…
A relaxed and welcoming conversation. A different theme to explore each month. Space to share, ask questions, or simply listen. No exercises, dance demonstrations, or techniques to master. Dancers of every level, role, and background are welcome. Attend one conversation or return whenever a theme speaks to you.

Why I'm offering these conversations
Latin dancing has given me opportunities for joy, expression, connection, and community. It has also shown me how easily we can become caught up in what other people think of us, whether we're good enough, and whether we truly belong.
Through my work as an Impact Catalyst and my understanding of how human experience is created, I've become increasingly curious about what becomes possible when dancers see themselves—and the dance—a little differently.
I don't intend to offer all the answers. I want to create space for honest, meaningful conversations in which we can explore these experiences together.
You're warmly invited
One conversation. One theme. One hour to become curious about what we experience when we dance.
Come as you are. Bring your experiences and questions—or simply come and listen.
